"Venize Biennale World Tour- Chongqing Stop" is the first "actual" exhibition in an art museum of the art project“Venize Biennale". "Venize Biennale World Tour" is a series of exhibitions/art works in different cities all around the world, every stop has a special theme linked with "Art Intervention", and every exhibition is a “constructed event” .
"Chongqing Stop" exhibited more than 40 pieces of art works of TanBo, including the photographs and videos they created at 56th Venice Biennale (see detailed introduction here ), as well as some new works Tan Tan created in Chongqing city.

Part 1: photographs in the styles of “hacking high art” and “labeling ready-made”
On every photograph, there is always a hand holding a "label" at the bottom corner, to claim the authorship of the scene, which could be adapted from a fragment of other artists' works, or just a frame of landscapes and objects in daily life.
Part 2: Videos projections and installations
Two screens played the films of TanBo performances "Art must be relax; Artist must be relax" and “We Have Nothing To Do With Art”; six screens distributed on several walls played the promotion video of "Venize Biennale", which created a strong atmosphere of a huge biennale...
Part 3: Web art and and interactions with the audience
Two computers showing the original web pages of "Venize Biennale Online Exhibition 2015", so as to let the audience know the beginning and process of "Venize Biennale" in 2015. Meanwhile, there are several QR codes everywhere in the space, to invite the audience to join the online chatting about this biennale, and telling them they might win the air tickets to go to the next Venice Biennale in 2017!
Part 4: Award Ceremony
On June 12, Tan Tan organized an "award ceremony" of "Chongqing Stop. In addition to hundreds of spectators, many famous people in the art circle attended the ceremony, such as art critic Wang Lin, artist Li Zhanyang, and the director of Chongqing Changjiang Contemporary Art Museum. The space is fulfilled with enthusiastic crowd...
After some welcome words by the hostesses, Tan Tan showed up with black long dress and typical Venetian mask. Curator Cai Qing went on the stage, awarded Tan Tan again with the famous "Super Lion" that TanBo won from last years "Venize Biennale", the audience burst into thunderous applause.
Accompanied by impassioned music, two beautiful hostesses dressed in Chinese cheongsam spread the tickets to the audience, then the ceremony began.
The hostesses said, "Let's invite Ms. Tan Tan to the honored throne!" Suddenly, two men with Venetian masks appeared, and began to stack several chairs up on the stairs in the middle of the stage. And then, Tan Tan climbed onto the top of the chairs! No audience, including the "high-positioned" art community, could understand what an "award ceremony" it was at this moment.
In the following section, the hostesses invited four well-known local artists, to "select" the "awarded" audience who had the lucky numbers on the tickets, in a way of lottery. Three people from the audience won the "Golden, Silver, Bronze" Prizes of "Outstanding Artists Award of Chongqing Stop". "Because you entered an art museum and have stayed for 10min by chance, you become a great artist! This is the advantage of this times, as Joseph Beuys taught us 'Everybody is an artist.' "
Surprisingly, the prizes that Tan Tan presented to the "winners", were some soap bubbles in different number and sizes! "The Golden Award" was a string of very big bubbles flying in the air, and the hostesses told the "awarded artist", "these are the biggest bubbles in the art history of all human beings! From today, your art works will be more expensive than the "diamond skull" of Damien Hirst..."
