Tan Tan’s music style merges Experimental, Electro, Improvisation, Rock, Sound Art, and World Music.

The motivation of her music could be from the frequency of the body and the soul, the tribal legends from very far, or the sound of a nebula in universe…

From 2005 to 2011, Tan Tan was active in the underground music scene in Beijing. She performed in many famous live houses at that time, such as Nameless Highland Bar, CD Cafe, Jiangjinjiu, D22. From 2012 until 2019, during her living in Europe, she acquired the opportunity to collaborate with various international musicians, and to explore more possibilities on music styles and sound experiments. During the years, she had several bands, performed as an independent singer, and also do improvisations with DJs at Electro parties. She wouldn’t ignore any power to charge her sound universe.

For Tan Tan, it’s not so important to be called a “musician”, while more meaningful to have music in every corner of her life.
